BIOGRAPHY: Isaac is mentioned as a member of Isaac Amsden's garrison on 11 Dec 1711. The garrison had been formed to defend the area's frontier.

BIOGRAPHY: His sons Abraham, John and Jonas were the executors of his will. The estate's inventory showed cash and securities of 761 pounds, 2 shillings, 6 pence (written as 761-2-6); 30 acres in Southboro valued at 100 pounds; 12 acres in Marlboro valued at 100 pounds; homestead, house and barn valued at 4666-13-4, with personal property of 65-1-3.

BIOGRAPHY: Among the expenses of settling the estate were the burial charges of: For funeral charges 6-7-10; for grave (to Abraham Joslin) 4s-8d; for coffin 6s 4d' for gravestone 60s; for breaking paths to inter the desceased 3-3-0.

BIOGRAPHY: Isaac was a representative from the Shrewsbury to the General Court in 1747, 1749, 1756 and 1758.

BIOGRAPHY: At a town meeting on 23 May 1775 he was one of a committee chosen to examine Rev. Ebenezer Morse and others suspected of toryism.

BIOGRAPHY: On 27 Dec 1777, Isaac was chosen to be part of a committee to see "carried into rigorous execution" an act of the Continental Congress about the "non-importation and non-comsumption" of British goods.

BIOGRAPHY: He served in the Revolution, enlisting 28 Apr 1775 and again in Jun 1775, agreeing to serve until 31 Dec 1775 . He was in the march to Bennington and again enlisted 27 Jul 1777, this time under Col. Job Cushing. He was discharged 18 Oct 1777.
